Happy Halloween!

Hope everyone had a good time dressing up and going out this weekend! Now for the handing out of candy this evening to the little trick-or-treaters :)

Here is the absolute cutest little costume I think I have ever seen:
A little Chanel purse! Ah, to die for. & you know when Rachel Zoe has a baby girl--she will be wearing this without a doubt!

On another crazy note:
About an hour ago the month long rumors of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries marriage being on the rocks was confirmed by Ryan Seacrest via Twitter. Kim is filing for divorce today! Just 72 days after the wedding. Rumors are of course buzzing that it was a money making "fake" wedding. But, I personally believe it was just a rushed fairy tale--what do you all think?!

Favorites:

From this week!

Despite my busy schedule I found time to rip through some magazines, look through some blogs and of course, watch some E! So, here's a few things I'm loving this week:

Rachel Zoe at a Burberry event this Wednesday rocking a major Burberry trench! LOVING this turq color!

Look how adorable this mini pumpkin vase is! It's a DIY, too! Just find a cute little pumpkin, carve and empty it then add some cute flowers!

This fall faux-suede jacket from ModCloth is to die for! And it's only $48! Perfect for a fall day/night on the town.

Lastly, this eternity fringe scarf from Urban Outfitters has been catching my eye for about a month or two now..I may just have to break down and head down to the South Side and pick it up! Plus, it comes in 4 fun colors!

So, what do you all think?!
Happy Friday!

Crazy week...

Hi, everyone!

Sorry for the lack there of posts this week--I have been super busy with school work all week, but my weekend is here, finally! Tonight I wanted to share with you something my friend Bailey over at Billy&Hoss (check her out!) posted a few days ago as her "night time craving" and once I laid my eyes on these puppies...I began to crave them myself:

Roberto Cavalli leather cowboy boots: $605

...A girl can dream right?! One day I'll be able to splurge, one day!

Trending:

Plaid Pieces

One of my favorite daily emails that I receive is from WhoWhatWear. I recommend adding it to your daily emails! This trend post was from earlier this week and I am obsessed with the plaid! Normally, I turn away from it, but recently the pieces have really been catching my eye!

WhoWhatWear is such a good site for trends, celeb style, beauty, shopping and everything else fashionable in between! I hope you check it out!

Fall Statement:

Fiery Lips

As I was investigating my October People Style Watch I came across an ad for Sephora's fiery red lips ad (shown below).

To get this look try:
Sephora Collection: Cream lip stain in always red (scroll to bottom to view color)

The idea of a blazing red lip on any polished face this fall is to die for. Sephora is obviously the go to place for any make up idea, but from the looks of it they have the absolute best selection of reds to make your lips pop!

Southwestern Style

One of the most popular trends for the fall this year has been the Southwestern look from bold prints, earthy colors, fringed details and crafty accessories! While I was interning this summer I had the chance to work with a ton of designs from this trend. Vendors had such an amazing pin point on colors, bodies and fabrics! Here are a few of the hottest ideas and favorites:

Suede ankle booties are a staple fall item and follow the American meets Indian trend perfectly. These booties can be found HERE!

I love this knit tribal from Forever 21. It mixes bold colors, prints and of course the awesome stripe! The turq pants it's paired with is genius as well. Check it out HERE!

This fringe hobo is only $20 from rue21! Check it out HERE! It is perfect for an all in one bag for the fall and very practical in price! Plus, what's a southwestern trend without some fringe?!

Another find from rue21 that I personally own---LOVE IT! This top is so fun. The sides are fringed to add some more southern flare. I'm on the look out for perfect pair of black cowgirl boots to wear with it for the fall/winter! Check it out HERE!

This convertible sweater from American Rag can be found at Macy's, HERE! The Aztec print is fun and any pop of color can be added under it for a killer look!

Lastly, look how adorable this tribal infinity scarf is from Charlotte Russe--and it is only $9.50! Check it out HERE! It has the perfect combo of colors that can be worn with practically anything!

I hope you enjoyed a look at some fall Southwestern looks! Don't be afraid to mix and match colors and prints...it makes for a more laid back, fun look!

To be a high schooler again..

Or maybe just for the dances...!

Last night was my alumini's homecoming and considering I've been out of there for two years--I still wish I could go to homecomings and proms (for the dresses, hair and make-up, of course).  My best friend's one of three sisters, Emma went and we have been glamming her for the past month and it turned out like perfection! I call them my sisters, and vis versa-- :)

Considering I have a lot of studying and stuff to do today, I figured I would share some pictures of Emma from last night in her gorgeous dress! And can you believe we found it online..to die for, and totally risk taking!

Emma and one of her best friends

Standing with her date. Love the back! And her confidence in those high Steve Maddens!

Hannah (other sister), Emma and me!

Cute..right?!

Another fun fall trend...

Peplums!

Personally, I think this look is to die for. Peplums are a short overskirt or ruffle at the waistline of a jacket, blouse or a dress. The Peplum was originated in the 19th century and has come and gone throughout the years--but this fall, it is everywhere!

Check out these looks:

Pretty in Pink:

Even a wedding gown:

Lastly, if Carrie Bradshaw has done it--everyone can ;)

I saw a segment on E! this week about the Peplum so it sparked my interest in researching it! Then consequently, yesterday I was visiting my friend and she said she was loving the Peplum trend--(Hi, Becky!) So, I knew I needed to write about it!

With that, I am sorry for not posting yesterday--I made a day roadtrip to Erie to visit two of my best friends at their schools, and had such a great day!

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Kardashian Kollection

For some insane reason I have an obsession with the Kardashian's--they are seriously taking over the world! Kim's Wedding aired this Sunday and Monday and had over 10 million viewers and was named E!'s most watched event--EVER! And believe me, I was one of them. I may or may not have shed a tear during the ceremony. Hmm, I guess Kris Humphries has that effect-- :)

To add to the Kardash's brand they recently launched a line of clothing, handbags, intimates, jewelry, shoes and sunglasses for Sears. It is all extremely affordable, and you can really tell which pieces Kim, Kourtney or Khloe designed. Check out the line HERE!

A few of their styles:

What do you guys think?! Check it out at Sears!
